- Jacoby has stolen six bases already in his 14 days in Boston. His 162 average would be 69 stolen bases. He won’t do that but half of that is great. Hopefully more.
- Joe Torre said Joba Chamberlain is available for 2-3 innings tonight. That seems like a lot but Torre is notorious for overworking his bullpen.
- Clemens has struck out four straight: Ortiz, Lowell, Varitek and JD Drew, from the 3rd to the 4th inning.
- Clemens and Schilling combined have 44 years of major league baseball pitching experience. Jeez.
- Schilling has only one striekout through 7.1 IP
- Headline News: Papi Dissapoints. Bases loaded, two outs, down by one against Mariano Rivera and Papi pops out to end it. Very disappointing. It’ll be a scary series if Boston see’s the Yankees in the playoffs.
- This is the last time Boston and New York will meet during the regular season.
- Jacoby Ellsbury’s hitting streak ended tonight at 13 games.
