Didn’t Make American Idol? Sing for the Celtics

So Simon laughed at you when you gave your American Idol interview performance and told you to go home. Well guess what, the Celtics are giving you a chance to redeem yourself. The Celtics are holding an audition for anyone who thinks they can sing the national anthem better than the rest. Three winning auditions will be selected from a panel of judges. The second and third place winners will each perform the national anthem for a pre-season Celtics game at TD Banknorth Garden. The best audition will earn his or her time in the spotlight to perform the national anthem for the third game of the regular season on Friday, November 9th at TD Banknorth Garden when the Celtics play against the Atlanta Hawks.

The auditions will be held on October 22nd from 1pm to 6pm at the TD Banknorth Garden’s Legends restaurant, located on level three. Auditions are on a first come, first serve basis so arrive early to ensure you have a chance to showcase your talent. Once you arrive, you will be given a number which will be called out when your audition time has arrived. Good luck!
