Pettitte Tells Congress Clemens Used HGH
Andy Pettitte reportedly told Congress in his private depostion that Roger Clemens had used HGH. Apparently, Clemens told Pettitte he used Human Growth Hormone 10 years ago.
Due to his testimony, Pettitte was excused from the public hearings today, along with Chuck Knoblauch and steroid dealer Kirk Radomski. Clemens and Brian McNamee will still be meeting today.
My thoughts: This could be very hurtful for Clemens’ case. No one is on his side besides Jose Canseco, who really isn’t involved at all. Apparently Clemens argued before that Pettitte misunderstood their conversation, and that Clemens’ wife took HGH and he did not. So we at least know that Roger’s wife was a performance-enhancing drugs user. As always, stay tuned.Â
