David Ortiz Takes Live Batting Practice
David Ortiz took live batting practice for the first time on Monday since injuring his wrist in late May. Big Papi was very pleased with his performance. How did he feel?
” I feel good. Great.”
Ortiz did note however that after swinging on outside pitches, he felt “a little sore, but not bad.”
Other Sox Notes:
- The Red Sox sent down Justin Masterson and recalled Clay Buchholz, who will rejoin the rotation in Masterson’s place. The Sox now plan to convert Masterson to a middle reliever this season.
