Ronnie Brown absolutely tore through the Patriots defense on Sunday, leading the Dolphins (1-2) to a shocking 38-13 win. The loss broke the Patriots’ NFL record of 21 consecutive regular season victories, and they now stand at 2-1.
Brown finished with 113 yards on 17 carries and four rushing touchdowns. He also fooled the Patriots with a 19-yard TD pass as he figured into all of the touchdowns of the day for the Dolphins. Ricky Williams teamed with Brown to form an unstoppable RB tandem, rushing for 98 yards on 16 carries.
Matt Cassel looked like a young QB yet again, throwing for a mediocre 131 yards (19-for-31 passing) with one touchdown, one interception, and one lost fumble. He found Randy Moss for only four catches and 25 yards on the day. Moss just looks like he’s losing faith in the young Pats QB.
So, in all, the Pats’ offense was really ineffective and the defense was very easy to move the ball on. They were totally outclassed and it showed in the 38-13 blowout. Look for SoB’s Jeff to provide his take on the game later on.

Ack. I want Brady back. This game was an embarrassment. I don’t know why they don’t use Cassel’s arm and throw it deep to Moss. I’m already missing last season.
I think Belichick’s afraid of letting Cassel make a big mistake…but he’s not good enough to win with a short passing game. Anyway…big blame goes to the awful defense. I mean…38 pts to the Dolphins?
Correction – 35 to Ronnie Brown????
Remember he scored on direct snaps to the RB.
