Jonathan Sim tipped home a shot by defenseman Thomas Pock with 6:01 left Saturday, lifting the New York Islanders to a 3-1 victory over the Boston Bruins in a preseason game.
Sim scored his second goal of the preseason as the Islanders raised their record to 4-2 with their second win over the Bruins.
Mike Comrie added an empty-net goal in the final minute as the Bruins fell to 2-4-1 on the preseason.
Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara scored a power play goal for the B’s only score on the night, which is a good sign as he tries to recover from injury.
The final preseason tune-up for the Bruins is Sunday against the Capitals.
