Junior Seau Signs for Patriots

Just a day after Roosevelt Colvin signed back with the Patriots, 19-year veteran Junior Seau has joined the Patriots for the rest of the season. Adalius Thomas was placed on injured reserve, which opened up a spot for Seau – entering his third year with the Patriots.

My Take: Between Seau and Colvin the Pats have brought in two more veteran defenders but it’s tough to predict what they can bring to the table. Both players haven’t played all season and it may take a week or two for them to get up to speed. I don’t think these are the missing links to the puzzle but with Thomas and Webster not around it makes sense to fill the void with guys who know the system. Seau will travel with the team to Seattle for Sunday’s game.
